Lawrence-Mercer Recycling/Solid Waste Department

Electronics recycling, especially as it relates to TVs and computer monitors, continues to be a challenge in Pennsylvania.  Questions from our residents asking where they can take their old TVs continue to be the top inquiry received by our office.  Options do exist, but all of them require some significant travel (greater than 10 miles) and some have capacity limitations and/or charge fees.  The most recent listing of options can be found in the attached in the  Electronics Recycling Guide. SEE BELOW

We are continuing to partner with Tri-County Clean Ways on the fall recycling program that will collect appliances, batteries, electronics, fluorescent lights, and tires.  Most likely we will be adding household hazardous wastes (such as paint and chemicals) to the list of acceptable materials this year.  As with the past events, fees will apply.  Look for the event flyer to be released before late August.
